  • Even for massage?
Because I am a physical therapist and a massage therapist, I use my massage and manual therapy methods as part of your PT session. Manual therapies, including massage, are one of the methods Physical Therapists use. So as long as you have a problem that warrants PT - and we can evaluate that at your first session - then the session is Physical Therapy.
  • What if I just want a relaxing massage or dont have any PT related problems?
 
I offer this type of massage too, in Washington DC locations, but that is an out of pocket expense and not reimburseable by medical insurance.
 
 
  • What do you mean by Insurance Coverage?
This means your insurance will reimburse your for, in most cases, a good portion of your session with me. I ask for fees at time of service, for all insurance plans except Medicare.
 
 
    • So why should I come see you instead of someone in network in my plan?
    I offer one on one sessions, giving you my full attention in a quiet, private setting. I use my 30 years of experience and training to offer you the best in hands on healing, and I am dedicated to caring for you first and foremost.
     
     
    • Do I have to have a prescription from my doctor?
    Referral or prescription for physical therapy are no longer required  - though welcomed if you have one - unless your insurance requires it, or you are a Medicare patient.
     
     
     
    This means you can come for sessions without seeing your MD first, though we will contact your doctor with your permission to update him or her on your therapy and work together to speed your return to fitness.
     
    • How do patients with Medicare pay?

    • How do I submit my information to get reimbursed?
     
    I provide you with the completed insurance form to submit to your insurance for coverage under physical therapy benefits. Information on where to send it is usually on the back of your card or easily available. Medical claim forms can be provided or downloaded from your insurance company website. It is usually a one page form and easy to fill out.
     
    • How much will my insurance reimburse me?
     
    Reimbursement depends on your insurance plan.
    I will be happy to find out what your coverage will most likely be when you contact me for your first appointment.
     
    • I offer special rates for series, and accept  checks, cash, and major credit cards.
